Privacy
Short, because there is not much to say: LiftLab keeps what you log and nothing else, and it does not sell, share or advertise against any of it.
What is stored
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and
profile picture URL, and Google's opaque account identifier
(hashed before it is stored). That is the whole of it —
LiftLab requests only the
openid, emailandprofilescopes, and cannot see your Gmail, your Drive, your contacts or anything else. - What you log: foods and quantities, bodyweight entries, food and exercise preferences, recipes you build, and generated meal or training plans.
- A session cookie holding a random token that means nothing on its own — the session it points at is a row in the database, so signing out ends it on the server rather than just forgetting it in your browser. No tracking cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts of any kind.
What is not stored
No passwords (sign-in is delegated to Google). No payment details. No IP-based profiling, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers. LiftLab loads no external scripts, so nobody else sees that you visited.
Who it is shared with
Nobody. Your data is not sold, rented, shared with advertisers, or used to train anything. It sits in a database on the machine serving this site.
Food and exercise reference data comes from public sources — USDA FoodData Central, OpenNutrition, Open Food Facts and restaurants' own published nutrition. Reading those pages sends nothing about you anywhere.
Deleting it
Sign out at any time from your account. To have your account and everything in it deleted, email the address below and it will be removed — not anonymised, deleted.
Contact
This page describes what the software actually does; it is not legal advice, and LiftLab is not a medical service. Nothing here is a substitute for a doctor or a dietitian.
